Barcelona, Madrid defeats: Is this end of Spanish dominance in world football?

Yes! The UEFA Champions League semi-final came with surprises. As expected, not many soccer lovers believed that Barcelona and their arch-rival, Real Madrid would lost the way they did to their Germany counterparts-Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Not that they lost is the problem, after all, no team is unbeatable. However, the problem is the margin in which they lost to their opponents, specifically, Barcelona.

When Madrid was drawn with Dortmund, not a few persons gave the German side a chance. Many believed that Madrid had already qualified for the final as beating Dormund would be as easy as anything else. However, they were forced to think otherwise after the first leg ended in a humiliating 4-1 in favour of Dortmund.

Following the humiliation of these Spanish clubs by their German counterparts, the question in the lips of many is: could this be the end of reign of Spanish football, seen as the best in the world? Are we seeing the return of dominance of Germany in world soccer arena? What do you think?
